She was born and raised in Sicily, Italy. Despite all of her accomplishments as a reporter, she went on to study law at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. In 2022, she got engaged to Loris Karius. They welcomed a daughter named Aria in August of 2023. She previously dated actor Can Yaman.
